This weekend, my friends and I were in search of brunch…as we always are. One of my friends is vegetarian and the other was starving and just wanted shrimp and grits. I suggested Pies-N-Thighs, but knew there would be a long wait (because it’s so popular and delicious) and that they had catfish and grits. I had been to Pies-N-Thighs for dinner before but not for brunch…either way, I recall it being delicious.
After waiting for 45 minutes to an hour we sat down and ordered. Luckily our food came out pretty quick. And of course we inhaled it! I had to stop my friends from taking a bite so I could take a picture first!
Last time I was there I ordered the Chicken Biscuit and Mac ‘N’ Cheese side. It is so good! They’re fresh biscuit is topped with a cripsy piece of chicken smothered with hot sauce and butter. A delicious combination of flavors. They put hot sauce on the Mac and cheese which was equally delicious! The Chicken Biscuit is on the brunch menu but the Mac ‘N’ Cheese is unfortunately not.
I wanted to order the Chicken Biscuit again but the waiter suggested the Rob Evans and I’m glad he did! It was a perfect brunch dish. It’s like a hearty, southern eggs benedict with sausage gravy and scrambled eggs on a biscuit. It was divine! I basically scraped the plate clean. I also had a mimosa…because why not?
My experiences at Pies-N-Thighs have been wonderful. If you ever wish to dine here just be aware that there might be a long wait but it’s SO worth it. The restaurant has a kind of relaxing, diner vibe. The food is delicious and the service is great! You must try it!
