Earlier this week, I was in the land of waffles…Belgium. So naturally, I had to head to brunch!
I was staying right around the corner from Peck 20, which stated they have brunch all day. I looked at the menu and their brunch included various waffle dishes.
I walked over and was delighted by the appearance. The restaurant is more of a cozy, but spacious cafe. I picked a seat at a large banquette that lined the wall with huge pillows.
My waiter greeted me immediately with a carafe of refreshing water infused with lime and orange. I ordered some Peppermint tea as I looked at the menu.
I ordered the “Peck Special”, which was basically a eggs Benedict on waffles. It was a goat cheese and chorizo waffle, topped with bacon and poached eggs, and with their signature “Psycho” sauce.
It was amazing. The waffles were full of flavor, they could be eaten alone. But the psycho sauce was delicious. I did not want my meal to end. I savored every bite…I even scraped the plate clean. The side salad was delicious as well.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Peck 20. If you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by for their all day brunch or a cup of coffee.
