BLVD

My roommate and I finally tried BLVD after my friends had been suggesting I try the restaurant for weeks. It’s conveniently located in harlem next to all of the Harlem hotspots near 125th.

We walked over and it was packed, but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time.

My roommate and I began with a pitcher of mimosas while we looked around at all the dishes…trying to decide which one to order.

My roommate ordered the Catfish And Grits. It comes with a pan-fried catfish,  cheddar cheese grits, a biscuit and he ordered his eggs scrambled. They deliver the dish in a hot skillet.

I was going back and forth between a sweet dish and a savory dish. The waitress suggested the Biscuit Sandwiches.

They were two huge butter milk biscuits with scrambled cheddar eggs and a choice of applewood smoked bacon, turkey bacon or tomato. I chose the smoked bacon.

The sandwiches were delicious. The biscuits are huge but so fluffy. They come with jam on the side so I ended up deconstructing the second sandwich and spreading the jam on the biscuit.

BLVD is a delicious neighborhood gem. They call themselves “Crafted American Soul” and that’s exactly what it is. The restaurant atmosphere makes you feel at home. Definitely try BLVD if you’re in harlem!
