I landed at LAX a few hours ago. My friend told me to meet her at her job in DTLA so I could hang out around town until she got off work. I was hungry after an early morning transcon flight so I, of course, researched the foodie spots in the area. 

To my excitement, Eggslut, which had been on my list for years, was within walking distance of her job. 

I walked over to Grand Central Market and saw that Eggslut had the longest line! But I was determined to get my sandwich! 

I ordered the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich and Cold Brew Coffee.

After ordering, (and sipping on my coffee trying to ignore my jet lag) the sandwich came out relatively quick! I secured a spot at their “bar” and savored my delicious brunch! 

The coffee was refreshing. The sandwich was amazing! I could really tell the Turkey Sausage was house-made. It had a smoky taste to it. And the honey mustard aioli was so good! All served with an over medium egg that oozed over after the first few bites and ran on top of the warm brioche bun that they slightly toast.

(I wanted to take a picture of how delicious it looked once you broke into the egg, but I couldn’t stop eating!)

The sandwich was so good, it was almost sinful. It’s well worth the wait. I was lucky enough to get a seat at their bar and be amongst the energy of their open kitchen. 

Eggslut was everything I imagined it would be and more. Definitely stop in if you’re in LA. It lives up to all of the hype!
